The church was opened in 1991 and is located at 77 Peng Chau Wing On Street. The church has been operating now for almost 15 years. In the past it conducted many large-scale activities, like music competitions. Many residents therefore have heard the Gospel and have also known a Peng Chau Gospel Hall church member. The church's objective is to pass on the Gospel to the residents of Lantau Island and vicinity.

A lot of the church members minister and help Peng Chau's inhabitants, but actually all of them come from the urban district. Each takes the ferry to Peng Chau and upon arrival are overtaken by the tranquil atmosphere. Therefore they fall in love with this place and are happy to travel here to help others..
